WE’VE ALL GOT THORNS

ENJOY THE FRUIT

WE’VE BEEN SETTING ROOTS, NOW WE’RE READY TO BRANCH OUT.

We spent our first few years on this land mostly watching. A lot of standing on the hillside with our hands on our hips, looking around, saying “maybe this, maybe that.” We got a good enough feel for the place to start planting more than annual vegetables about two years ago. We sourced seeds, cuttings, tubers and bare-root trees from growers, around the region and beyond, that we trust, as well as from local plants that we have foraging history with. We put an exciting array of potential into the ground, thinking that we’d only continue growing the plants that seemed to thrive here without a whole lot of help, and we assumed the flock would cull itself, but everything grew, and is still growing! While we do have thousands of plants in the ground, the plants listed here, for now, are just a very small (but special) offering of easily shippable items, so we can streamline the online ordering process, and when fall comes, be ready to offer you our most robust plant list yet. For people living in the Southern Maine/New Hampshire region, local pickup of potted plants and trees will be available throughout the season, and those plants will be listed shortly, as they’re potted up. You can learn about available plants, dates, and locations most easily by signing up for our mailing list below (no spam - promise - just a handful of seasonal updates a year).
